2 days at the German Press Days in Berlin

2 days at the German Press Days in Berlin

Two days of Pressdays are behind us and you can't believe how nice and exhausting these days are at the same time. You get to know a lot of nice people, get to see new collections in many PR agencies and hear one or two stories about the designers' ideas.

Of course we didn't miss the opportunity and first of all we went to K-MB to have a look at the novelties of BoConcept, a company that is more confident in style than almost any other. Great, almost water repellent couch fabrics that look like fine corduroy, new bowls, the expansion of the Copenhagen System and a new color variation of the Duo floor lamp. Brass is the new trend in the living area and thus replaces bronze, the trend of the last 2-3 years something. We are particularly taken with the accessories, such as the Bloom vase in green and the Oki tray. In the shopping cart will probably finally go the Jellyfish Sculpture, which we could now look at once in real. Apart from that, there was a very interesting innovation from Samsung, who are revolutionizing TV design and have conjured up something very beautiful with their design of clean lines and muted colors.

After that there was first of all a lot of fashion and even though we are not fashion professionals, we are of course interested in the design aspect in fashion, because here you can also find clear shapes, elaborate craftsmanship and interesting color combinations. Here, of course, we fell in love with quite a few pieces of jewelry, the pieces from Folkdays or the swan knit sweaters from Maiami. We were still at On Time PR of superfood, children's clothing and cosmetics sprinkled, have looked at the Panton Flower Pot lamps and then went on to blackbird Berlin.

On the second day, the highlight was definitely Moleskine, who come up with new colors. Also with special editions of Game of Thrones (sorry, but here I'm really out, no idea about the series) or Toy Story. Some of you will think here just like me: "Huh? Why Toy Story?", but the edition celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Pixar success with motifs of the original screenprints of the cartoonists. After the info and the awareness of our own advanced age (cough, cough), we first went from the Zucker agency to Schroeder + Schoembs PR to look at great shoes. Keds has designed a shoe with the company that also makes the tweet fabric for Chanel, but it will only be available online.

We then rested in the beautiful seating area of MADE.com at Fake PR and looked at the furniture pieces and sample sat and dreamed about the Barbour pieces we saw earlier.

Then at BOLD PR the silly head cinema turned on when we were presented with a stroller in cooperation with Diesel: A leather stroller with all kinds of rivets, so that even the man feels comfortable with it once. I could only just suppress my laughing fit when imagining my husband walking through Berlin with this vehicle, which then came up again at the IVY PARK collection: The idea of how I would look in the Beyoncé swimsuit and which letters of the large lettering would still be legible through the one or other roll of flab simply amused me deeply. But of course there were also great things to see, like the colorful rain jackets from Rains with the matching backpack, which has been on my "I want list" for a while.

We ended the Pressdays at Silk Relations with interesting collections, about which we will surely report here and there soon. And so the two days were already over, we were a little tired, but happy that there is this beautiful event twice a year. And since life is sometimes a wishful thinking, we would wish for a little more product and interior design next year or as a PR lady said to us on Thursday: "Wow, finally someone who comes for our interior customers, that doesn't happen often..."
