AD introduces #ADlovesSalone
After months of blackout imposed by the Covid-19 crisis, for the first time in Architectural Digest’s hundred-year history, all editions of the AD brand join forces to create #ADLovesSalone. More than just a hashtag, the project is an ongoing editorial initiative that supports Salone del Mobile.Milano, the Italian manufacturers and all the talented teams that work for them as well as all the others that usually come to Milan to show their novelties. Its mission is to build an international communications hub to help Salone del Mobile and its companies communicate their projects and products to consumers and design insiders worldwide. It will cover Salone-related activities as design companies reopen and prepare to communicate the novelties they would otherwise have presented in April in Milano. It will be an ever growing content repository which will later accompany Salone del Mobile.Milano in 2021 and its future editions.

#ADLovesSalone will partner with Salone del Mobile to serve as a common content production hub, which national editions will tap into and adapt to their online and offline channels. The objective, which will inspire an upcoming global social media campaign, is to support the industry at this difficult moment, and to create synergy between national audiences and editorial teams in order to provide Salone del Mobile.Milano and its stakeholders with a storytelling of international scope. In it, each company will find a unified counterpart to talk to the world, while Salone will act as a go-between and a co-curator.
The Milan furniture fair Salone del Mobile is considered the most important design show in the world, every year designers and furniture manufacturers present their novelties there. But because of the Corona crisis, the furniture fair was canceled in 2020. Now, for the first time in the hundred-year history of AD Architectural Digest, all national editions have joined forces to offer the industry, designers and companies a digital stage - a global platform to showcase their pieces. #ADLovesSalone is under the auspices of Cosmit, the umbrella organization of Salone del Mobile, which AD is co-curating. Online and offline, AD wants to inform and inspire you with #ADlovesSalone - and look forward to Salone del Mobile 2021 with you."
